Student Travel

Cambridge Academy for Science and Technology is situated 2.7 miles south of the city of Cambridge on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus close to Addenbrookes Hospital.  The postcode is CB2 OSZ, however, for directions purposes, the best postcode is CB2 8PX.

The college day commences at 08.30 each morning and finishes at 16.30. This provides a level of challenge in such a congested city as Cambridge so we work closely with our students to plan routes into the college. We also encourage students to use public transport or methods of environmentally friendly transport wherever possible.

Cycling and Walking

Cambridge has numerous cycle paths and being a compact flat city, cycling and walking are quick and cheap. There are plenty of cycle racks available for students who wish to cycle.

Bus Routes

Our location on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus means access by public transport is very good.  Frequent bus services operate from most parts of Cambridge and the surrounding area including services that use the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. Our location is within a 10-minute walk from Addenbrooke’s Hospital Bus Station and some services serve Puddicombe Way, which is directly opposite us.

Bus timetables for getting into Cambridge and travelling to the college can be viewed on bus company websites below:
