How to apply

Students wishing to join the college in Year 9 should complete an application form through Applicaa. 

Applications will be open from Wednesday 1 October 2025.

Timeline of Events for Year 9 Admissions / Applications

September Local Authorities in Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire (only as far as Royston) send letters to all families with Year 8 students about CAST.

September/November

Please attend our Open day on Wednesday 1 October 2025. If you are unable to attend in September, a further Open Day on Thursday 6 November 2025 is available but focused on Year 12 students.

November - December

Complete and submit an application via Applicaa  before the end of the year. If you have not had an opportunity to visit the school during an open evening, please contact admissions to arrange a visit.

1st round deadline for applications:  Monday 15 December 2025

2nd round applications commence:  Tuesday 16 December 2025

February

104 places (up to PAN) in Year 9 will be offered on 6 February 2026. Applications received after the 15 December 2025 will be processed after the 6 February 2026.

1st round applications informed of place on Friday 6 February 2026

2nd round deadline for applications:  Friday 6 February 2026

Late applications commence after Friday 6 February 2026

March

2nd round applications informed of place:  Friday 27 March 2026

July

Induction day for new CAST students.
