Religious Studies

Year 9 students follow the United Learning  Religious Studies Scheme of Work for 1 lesson per fortnight.

In Years 10 - 12 4 standalone Religious Studies lessons are incorporated into Challenge lessons.  Further links with Religious Studies are made in PSHE lessons and assemblies.

Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education (RE). Requests for withdrawal should be made in writing to the Principal. The school will discuss the request with parents/carers to ensure they are fully informed of the educational content and implications of withdrawal. Alternative supervised arrangements will be made for pupils who are withdrawn from RS lessons.
